International Timber improves processes with new tool room

International Timber recently invested in a new state-of-the-art tool room in our Grangemouth branch, which will be responsible for the manufacturing of profile cutting tools and the set-up of cutter blocks.

Due to an increase in customer demand for specific products and a need to increase the efficiency of the milling operation, a new tool room was created and has been strategically situated in the heart of the mill. Thanks to this, workflow has improved due to reduced set up times, and the work environment has been enhanced to allow for more detailed work to be carried out.

The new tool-room library of drawings, templates, knives and cutter blocks has ensured that the team can react quickly to customers’ needs in a safe environment. This allows for more agile reactions to any change in market demands and ensures the production of high-quality end products.

International Timber is always looking for ways to improve our offering and establish new and efficient ways to deliver. To keep up to date with what’s happening within our industry, don’t forget to take a look at our most recent case study and news uploads.
