Due to the popularity of our ‘3 timber high rises to look out for in 2018’ journal entry, we thought it was time to look at the newly proposed timber skyscrapers hitting the world’s skylines over the next few years.

Timber continues to prove itself as a fantastic material for high storey builds, acting as a necessary substitution for traditional building materials like steel and concrete. 15,000 million tonnes of concrete and 1,600 million tonnes of steel are produced annually, each responsible for approximately 4% of global CO2 emissions – given the current climate, it’s vital that other viable materials are considered.
