DENSITY 620 - 660 kg/m3
DISTRIBUTION The Guianas, Guyana, Surinam and northern Brazil.
DRYING The timber is slow to dry and drying requires care to prevent development of distortion and checking. Thick sections tend to remain green in the centre for a considerable time. There is a risk of case hardening if large sections are dried too quickly.
